The Only Tool YOU Need to Manage Major Home Improvement Investment Projects.

Home Improvements By Owner, LLC was created by Terry Hamm to connect homeowners with a better, organized, and structured residential building and home improvement process providing 1:1 support, project management, and a formulated process.

HIBO is run and operated by Terry Hamm, a semi-retired veteran with over 50 years in the construction business. Terry works with a large network of planners, developers, subcontractors, and real estate agents.

HIBO provides services and a process that helps homeowners organize, plan, and control their home improvement or investment projects from start to finish.

My role in the rebirth of HIBO was to create a brand identity, website, and marketing materials to help explain HIBO’s history, process, and purpose.

Brand and Identity Design

HIBO’s logo is intended to be simple and bold.

  • HIBO – The acronym pays homage to Terry’s first business. It needs to be highlighted or bold.
  • Red and Black – Likewise, the color scheme should match Terry’s first venture. Vibrant red and black.
  • Legibility and Scalability – Easy to reproduce and read from a distance.

The Mannequin (Mascot)

The faceless face of the company represents that “anyone” can manage their major home improvement projects using HIBO services.

Life-House Builders

HIBO had 2 sub-divisions of specialized services. Each service had a specific target audience, mission, and identity: Life-House Builders and Encompass.

These divisions were both branded with their own visual identities and promotional materials.

Life-House Builders

The Life-House Builders feature 3 developed concepts and plans of Multi-Family Living arrangements. Each space is designed with accessbility, security, privacy, and sustainability in mind.

Encompass

Encompass focuses strictly on accessibility and affordability. As Terry aged, he recognized the importance of modifying current living spaces into safe, healthy living environments, constructed around each individual’s need.
